
Randi Wolfe, Ph.D., has worked in early care and education for more than 40 years. She has been a preschool teacher, child care center director, and family support center director. From 1997-2016, Dr. Wolfe was an Associate Professor of Early Childhood Education at Northern Illinois University. Since moving to California in 2007, she has focused on designing and implementing large-scale ECE workforce development initiatives, engaging diverse stakeholder groups and advancing systemic efforts to strengthen the impact of early learning and care. In 2019, Dr. Wolfe founded Early Care & Education Pathways to Success (ECEPTS), widely recognized for its pioneering work in designing and implementing Registered Apprenticeships for the ECE workforce. She is currently serving a second term as an appointed member to the U.S. Secretary of Labor’s Advisory Committee on Apprenticeship. She has an Ed.M. in Instructional Leadership from the University of Illinois-Chicago, and a Ph.D. in Human Development and Social Policy from Northwestern University.
