The Art of Connection: The Role of Relationships in Ensuring Apprentices’ Success

Monday, October 7, 12:30-1:30 pm PST / 3:30-4:30 pm EST

Strong relationships are critical to the success of apprentices, especially non-traditional students and workers, members of marginalized communities, and first generation college students. Facilitating the development of such connections requires thoughtful and intentional program design, along with staff who are capable of reaching out and effectively engaging program participants. Join ECEPTS and a panel of ECE Registered Apprenticeship Program staff and faculty as we explore how such relationships can be created, fostered and impactful in ensuring optimal apprenticeship outcomes.

PANELISTS:

  1. 1. Daryl Bright, Registered Apprenticeship Programs (RAP) Director, ECEPTS
  2. 2. Joya Chavarin, Faculty Coordinator, Berkeley City College
  3. 3. Cecilia Terrazas, Coordinator of Diversity of Inclusion, Talent Division, Oakland Unified School District
