Danielle “D” Preciado, Ed.D., is a Registered Apprenticeship Programs Director at ECEPTS. Reflecting her conviction that children benefit from a highly skilled, well-compensated ECE workforce, D has 18 years of “walking-the-walk,” advancing from being a licensed family childcare provider to preschool teacher to preschool director. As a director, she implemented a Bachelors and Beyond Program to mentor ECE workers to complete their teaching credentials. She also has 16 years of experience in designing and implementing strategies to improve learner success and equity in community colleges. D is the first college graduate in her family. She earned a master’s in Online Teaching and Learning from California State University, East Bay, and a master’s degree in ECE and an Ed.D. in Educational Leadership and Management from Capella University.
